Installing WordPerfect Office 11
Before installing WordPerfect Office 11
• You must close all applications, including all virus detection programs and applications that are open in the system tray or on the Windows taskbar. Not doing so may increase the installation time and interfere with the normal installation process.
• On Windows NT/2000/XP, you should be logged in as an administrator or as a user with administrative rights.
• To avoid file and memory conflicts, delete the contents of your system's TEMP folder.
• Corel does not recommend installing WordPerfect Office 11 over an older version. Install to a new folder (preferably, use the default folder).
To install WordPerfect Office 11
1. Insert Disc 1 in the CD drive.
If the installation wizard does not start automatically, click Start on the Windows taskbar, and click Run. Type D:\Intro.exe, where D is the letter that corresponds to the CD drive.
2. Select WordPerfect Office 11. Then follow the instructions in the installation wizard.
Note for advanced users:
Install, repair, and uninstall options are provided on the right-click menu of the MSI files. WordPerfect Office 11 does support these options, but it is good practice to update the Microsoft Windows Installer and the InstallShield scripting engine on each workstation prior to doing this.
On Windows 98 and ME systems:
- Before installing from the WPO11.msi file, install Instmsia.exe and then IsScript.msi.
On Windows NT 4.0, Windows 2000, and Windows XP Professional systems:
- Before installing from the WPO11.msi file, install Instmsiw.exe and then IsScript.msi.
Miscellaneous installation notes
• Microsoft Internet Explorer 4 (or higher) or Netscape Navigator(R) 4 (or higher) are required to successfully register the product.
• If you want to add features, you have to use the Add/Remove Programs feature in the Windows Control Panel to modify the installation.
• For network administrators, a Network Administrator Guide is available to organizations that have purchased multiple licenses of WordPerfect Office 11. For more information, contact Corel's Licensing Department or Customer Service.

Removing older versions of WordPerfect Office applications
It is not necessary to remove older versions of WordPerfect Office applications before installing WordPerfect Office 11. For example, Corel(R) WordPerfect Suite 8, Corel WordPerfect Suite 7, or any of their components. The setup program for WordPerfect Office 11 does not overwrite or remove pre-Windows 95, Windows 98, or Windows NT 4.0 versions of these applications.
